How much will tuition cost?Tuition costs for the 2025/2026 School year varies based on what grades your child will be enrolling. Elementary tuition (K-6) is $4250, or $425/month for 10 months. Middle School Tuition (7-8) is $4650, or $465/month for 10 months. There are also costs for your child's enrollment: * Elementary Enrollment (K-6) - $250. * Middle School Enrollment (7-8) - $350 If you are a new student, there is a new student enrollment fee of $50, which will be deducted from the enrollment fee, if your child is accepted into the 2025/2026 school year. We strive to keep our tuition affordable while meeting the needs of our school. Our tuition covers about 60% of our operating costs and we rely on donations and fundraising to cover the remaining 40%. God has been faithful to provide for us, and we want to make sure we are honoring him in our use of his money. OCS is a non profit school desiring to teach students about Christ, therefore, we are not able to receive government or state funding to maintain such freedoms. Like all schools, we have operating costs such as, faculty salaries, building operation costs, curriculum costs, and school supply costs. Without state funding, we must raise all the money ourselves, and work very hard to raise the funds every year through car washes, bake sales, door-to-door fundraising, and our annual Auction. We are working diligently through fundraising and with with local business, to raise money for the school. The more money we raise, the lower the tuition will be and the more funds will become available for scholarships and financial aid.

Will scholarships or Financial Aid be available? Our goal is to have at least one scholarship per grade level available to students. However, we only have financial aid available to help cover a portion of your child's costs, at this time. As of right now, we are working with a platform that will help screen financial aid applications so all families are given a fair opportunity at financial aid and scholarships without facing any potential bias. There is a $40, non-refundable fee for this application that goes directly to this service. So, please be aware of this before applying. To apply for scholarships, you must already be enrolled at Omak Christian School. Once enrolled, you can reach out to us and we will provide you with a financial aid application link. The link will walk you through the entire process. Once the application is completed, an anonymous number is assigned to your application, and all applications will be presented to our Board of Regents who will award financial aid based on need and the recommendation from the application. We understand that enrolling in a private school is a big financial decision. Rest assured that your enrollment fee is 100% refundable. So if you apply and see you are not eligible for a scholarship, or the amount awarded would not be beneficial to your situation, you can rescind your application and your enrollment fee will be refunded. The only fees that are not refundable, are the $40 financial aid application fee, and the $50 new student application fee. In order to provide scholarship opportunities, we must raise enough funds to cover the costs. If you would like to donate, please email us at office@omakchristian.org. All proceeds go directly towards the school!

What does the school week look like? This year, 2025/26, our PAC shared the idea of moving to a 4-day school week. Our board of regents voted to adopt this new schedule for the 2025/2026 school year. * Our school week starts on Monday and goes to Thursday. * Classes start at 8am and end at 3:15pm. Our ultimate goal is for the success of all of our students. Therefore, our 4-day school week is a trial for this 2025/26 school year, and will be reevaluated by our board and PAC in the Spring of 2026.

What curriculum do you teach?Like most schools, our curriculum is different for our Elementary students and our Middle School students. Elementary Curriculum Abeka: Is used for English/Language Arts, Math, and History. Mystery Science: Is used for Science. While Mystery Science is not a christ-centered curriculum, our teachers use this curriculum to teach science through a biblical-worldview. This allows your child to be able to see Christ throughout all scientific principles. Middle School Curriculum Our middle school is in a special situation. We use an online-based curriculum known as Enlightium Academy. Through our partnership with Enlightium, our students are given a dedicated teacher for each subject, who is available to them online, in addition to an in-person teacher who can better communicate lessons, help, and clarify difficult subjects/questions. We have found that Enlightium Academy has been extremely beneficial for our students as they are more confident in their computer literacy, and are leaps and bounds ahead of similar students in the public school systems.

Do you have a bus service? At this time, we do not have a bus service available. As we are a small school with a very small staff and budget, we are not able to provide this service. Because our students live all over the Okanogan Valley, we have several parents that have created a carpool in different areas of our community. If you would like information on a carpool near you, please contact the school, once your enrollment has been accepted. We hope to have a full bus system in the future!

What is the PAC?The PAC is our Parental Advisory Committee, think PTA or PTSA. It is our way to truly connect with our parents and see what is needed for our students. It gives parents a voice in their student's education and really creates a community for our school and our families. Only parents/guardians of currently enrolled students are eligible to participate in our PAC.
