Elementary Teacher - Multi-Grade Classroom
Position Overview
Omak Christian School is seeking a qualified elementary teacher for a self-contained, multi-grade classroom (up to three grade levels, depending on enrollment). The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, Christ-centered education, and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (four-year degree)

Valid Washington State Teaching Credential

Ability to teach multiple grade levels in a self-contained classroom

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Work Schedule

Four-day school week, Monday - Thursday

155 days of classroom instruction

Six additional First Friday Field Trip days

Five additional days during the school year for classroom opening and closing

This position involves working during business hours, Monday through Thursday on school grounds (8.5 hours daily)

7:30 am - 4 pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The qualified candidate is expected to satisfactorily perform the following essential functions, including, but not limited to:

Providing and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment

Prepare daily lesson plans and adjust instruction based on student progress

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents

Collaborate professionally with school staff

Attend school functions, meetings, decorations, and events as required.

Offer academic and technical support to students during the school day
-
Evaluate and support the technical use of FACTS Learning Management System
-
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize disruption to learning
-
Maintain accurate attendance records and produce timely progress reports
-
Conduct meaningful parent-teacher conferences regarding academic and social growth
-
Support and enforce the Student Handbook
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly classroom
-
Secure classroom materials on Wednesdays and Thursdays during church operating hours
-
Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
-
Observe assigned work hours and fulfill all duties punctually

Perform supervisory responsibilities as assigned by the administration
-
Follow school-approved curriculum guidelines and academic standards
-
Ensure all safety measures and procedures are followed daily

Adhere to Faculty and School Dress Code policies.

On-Call Substitute Position
Long-term substitute position teaching K-1, 2-4, or 5-8, in person and assisting 2 middle school students with their online classes, on call, for the 2025 school year.

Job Responsibilities
This position involves working on call, during business hours, Monday through Friday on school grounds (8 hours daily)

Communicating with students and other teachers to ensure work is completed and understood.

Offering academic and technical support to students during the school day.

Demonstrate a professional representation to all school constituencies.

Conscientiously observe work hours in the classroom and on school grounds

Attend all faculty meetings, devotions, and other events and meetings as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.

Punctually fulfill all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Maintain accurate attendance records,.

Utilize FACTS daily to record attendance

Utilize FACTS SIS to record grades

Conference/communicate with parents regarding the academic and social progress of students.

Support the implementation of the student handbook.

Abide by the regulations and policies outlined in the Faculty Handbook and any additions made during the school year by the administration.

Follow the principles set out in Matthew 18 in resolving all conflicts.

Set an example of biblical purity in all relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. Modeling only professional and appropriate contact/communication with all.

Perform supervisory duties as assigned by the administration.

Follow and implement school-approved curriculum guidelines for all learning according to the standards of Omak Christian School.

QUALIFICATIONS
